Life is a Cabaret

Life is a Cabaret”, was performed at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA). Boston’s fabled Red Sox announcer, Jerry Remy of NESN, was honored with the First Annual Upstage Lung Cancer Fan Award for his courage in speaking out publicly about his battle with lung cancer. Joyce Kulhawik, legendary arts and entertainment critic and three-time cancer survivor, was the emcee the evening’s entertainment. Brigham and Women’s radiologist Francine L. Jacobson, M.D., M.P.H. shared some of her thoughts with the audience about lung cancer. Hildy Grossman,founder of Upstage Lung Cancer, was joined on stage by three other outstanding performers: Broadway veteran Kathy St. George, Billboard award-winning songwriter Krisanthi Pappas, and award winning cabaret and theater performer Brian De Lorenzo. Nationally renowned pianist Timothy Evans was the music director for the evening.
